Gemstones of the Bible
The Colombian Emerald has long enjoyed being one of the most beautiful, costly, and rarest gems known to mankind. The first physical appearance of the Emerald in history was in Egypt. The Egyptians considered the Emerald the most sacred of gemstones. In the Bible we find that gemstones were used to adorn the breast plate used by the high priest when ministering to Jehovah-GOD. These gemstones are described in the 28th chapter of the book of Exodus, and also in the last book of the Bible, Revelation the 21st chapter which describes the Holy City of God.
